Ms Armitage is Projects and Strategy Director at Livingston-based intelligent mobility experts Route Monkey, which is part of the Trakm8 Group.

“I am delighted to be joining the board of MaaS Scotland,” she said. “This organisation brings together all the elements we need to create a thriving network to enable smart, efficient and sustainable mobility.”

MaaS Scotland is a partnership between trade associations Technology Scotland and ScotlandIS, and its membership includes Arnold Clark, Nexus, and the Stagecoach Group, along with intelligent mobility specialists such as Route Monkey, Urban Foresight, and Viaqqio, which is part of the ESP Group.

MaaS Scotland’s goal is to deliver new and alternative ways for people in Scotland to travel, whether they’re based in big cities or rural areas. By working with a wide range of companies and organisations, it can integrate various forms of transport into one single mobility service.

“She has valuable experience to bring to our board, as we seek to establish Scotland as a world-class centre for sustainable mobility”

“Route Monkey has been working on some leading-edge MaaS projects for some years, both within Scotland and across Europe,” added Dr George Hazel, Programme Manager for MaaS Scotland. “Kate Armitage has led on many of these projects, so she has valuable experience to bring to our board, as we seek to establish Scotland as a world-class centre for sustainable mobility.”

Ms Armitage joined the board of MaaS Scotland ahead of the organisation’s official launch (which took place on 19 September at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh).
