Getting around their city is a multimodal affair for many travellers. In San Francisco for instance, a traveller might take an uberPOOL to the Burlingame Caltrain station, take the Caltrain to 4th & King St, and then walk a few blocks to their SOMA office or the ballpark.

However, in order to keep tabs on upcoming train departure times while in an Uber travellers previously had to ‘toggle’ between apps.

Now, when travellers are in an Uber and their destination is a block away from a transport stop, upcoming departure times will begin to show in their Uber feed. The times will be refreshed regularly so that travellers constantly have the latest information.

In addition, if travellers want to learn more, the Transit app will provide A-to-B directions and service disruption information.

“Our integration with Uber is a perfect match, as we both envision a future in which every journey is shared using a combination of transit options,” comments Jake Sion, Chief Operating Officer of Transit.
