ABOUT THIS WEBINAR

The accelerated use of contactless technologies and the convergence of multiple applications demands secure, proven and stable technologies which also have the flexibility to benefit from future technology and application trends. The Sistema Único de Boleto Electrónico card (the SUBE card) has recently been an outstanding success in Argentina.

This webinar will show how Nacion Servicios – the public transport operator responsible for SUBE’s AFC system – migrated its automatic fare collection system to include a new level of high security, allowing the possibility of the future expansion of its operation to other cities in Argentina. Intelligent Transport’s forthcoming webinar, hosted by NXP Semiconductors, will offer a platform from which delegates can learn about SUBE’s challenges, experiences and solutions in upgrading, using NXP’s MIFARE Plus product family – and the wide range of application possibilities that opened up through this transition.

The webinar will consist of two 15-20 minute presentations, as well as a Q&A session where delegates have the opportunity to ask questions directly to our speakers. Presentations will come from NXP Semiconductors’ Miguel Padula – Business Development Manager South America AFC & Banking, and Johannes Grüll – Product Marketing Manager MIFARE Classic & MIFARE Plus.

Miguel is responsible for developing AFC and Banking business in South America, supporting main AFC migration and banking convergence in the region. Johannes is globally responsible for the go-to-market and pricing strategy for the MIFARE Classic and MIFARE Plus product families. Johannes is engaged in different application segments from access management and public transport to gaming and many more.
