Corethree, the leader in m-ticketing solutions and innovators in mobile technology announces that its mobile booking and ticketing solutions now include PayPal payments. This is a milestone deal for Corethree that adds another significant player to its mobile payment partners.

Corethree is committed to helping its clients use mobile technology to increase sales, improve customer service and become more efficient.  From now on companies that use its solutions, including First Group, Go Ahead Group and Translink* will be able to make use of PayPal as a payment option to purchase bus, train or tram m-tickets.  This adds to the already highly successful partnerships with Barclays Pingit and Boku, direct to carrier billing.

In the past 6 months Corethree solutions have processed over 2,000,000 bus tickets, equivalent to around £12,000,000 of revenue for its clients, and these numbers continue to show excellent growth. Adding PayPal, which has over 19 million active accounts in the UK alone will help to increase potential income and user numbers for clients and create exciting opportunities for new clients in a variety of sectors. The first few client integrations into Corethree’s highly successful m-ticketing application will go live in the next few weeks, allowing passengers to take full advantage during the busy festive season.

Ashley Murdoch, CEO Corethree says: “Working with PayPal is a milestone for Corethree and further validates the exceptional work we have been doing. We can already offer our clients seamless links with Credit and Debit cards, Barclays Pingit and direct to carrier billing through Boku. From an end user perspective PayPal is one of the most widely used online payment systems available which offers huge opportunity to our clients.”

Mark Brant, General Manager of Merchant Services at PayPal UK, said: “We’re pleased to work with Corethree to help transport and travel companies make it easier for their customers to pay for tickets quickly and securely on mobile and online.”
