The CCTV system includes a reverse camera on the rear section of the articulated vehicles, two further cameras on the door section housed within custom-made covers, both inside and outside the vehicle, and a cab-mounted split-screen display plus intelligent switching between the systems.

Karl Orton, Technical Director for Keolis Sverige AB, says: “All equipment had to be conformed to our EBSF specifications that prescribe the use of Ethernet, shared GPS & communications hardware and protocols. This project involved a lot of careful planning by 21st Century’s Swedish engineering and project team which they did very well.”

Mark Johnson, Technical Sales Director for 21st Century Technology, comments: “We are delighted to continue our close relationship with Keolis that sees 21st Century enter its fourth year of supplying solutions into its fleet in the capital and elsewhere in Sweden. Our Swedish team worked effortlessly together with Keolis and the bus manufacturers so that installations could take place on all bus types, new and old, as they became available to ensure each one entered service with a fully operating system. I am proud that the team was able to demonstrate its capability to install and commission the vehicles to a very high standard throughout the eight months project.”
