The Open Standard for Public Transport (OSPT™) Alliance, an international association which provides a new open standard for secure transit fare collection solutions has welcomed information security company, Feitian Technologies as a Full Member.

The Beijing-based company, established in 1998, specializes primarily in smart card and chip operating system based technologies and applications. Its Java Card series, created on open standards is implemented into fields ranging from card payment, authentication and electronic identification to telecommunication.

As a Full Member of OSPT Alliance, the company will develop its Java Card Operating System in compliance with the CIPURSE™ open standard, which offers an advanced foundation for establishing interoperable fare collection systems. This represents the next step for the company in implementing its technology into next-generation fare collection systems.
