Description
Panasonic System Networks Europe (PSNE), a division of Panasonic, is a leader in security, telecommunication and imaging. With a long established customer network, Panasonic is proud of the comprehensive range of quality products, customer service, project management and technical support it provides. PSNE is a leading supplier of advanced security solutions including i-Pro SmartHD IP surveillance equipment. The range of security cameras, encoders and network recorders puts i-Pro SmartHD at the forefront of IP security solutions. Panasonic will showcase its latest security solutions that balance the best HD image quality with H.264 encoding to minimise network traffic at Rail & Public Transport Safety and Security 2011. PSNE’s introduction of a 16 channel NDR, the WJ-NV200 adds a key product to compliment their total security solution. Bristling with intelligent i-Pro features, the WJ-NV200 brings flexible PC-free set-up and mouse operation. Its built-in decoder further eliminates need for a PC; reducing cost of ownership and set-up time. The WJ-NV200 can strongly support security professionals with suspect identification through its face matching capability for up to eight faces, (expandable to 32). It has HDMI for Full-HD image resolution with around four times the picture clarity of standard definition images. Panasonic’s advances don’t stop with the i-Pro SmartHD, they have now taken facial recognition into other practical applications with the recent announcement of WJ-NVF20 business intelligence functionality. An optional upgrade allows the recorder to estimate gender and age profiles of hundreds of facial images. This brings functionality beyond conventional security applications with the system being used to assist retailers in profiling customers, thus helping drive sales performance.
