The Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Association has awarded the world’s first DMR Tier 3 interoperability certificate to Tait Communications following formal standardized testing of Tait DMR Tier 3 infrastructure.
Organizations seeking real DMR Tier 3 solutions can, for the first time, select a platform with certification – Tait Communications.
“By implementing DMR Tier 3, our customers benefit from having a solution that is highly suitable for use in their demanding, mission-critical environments,” says James Kyd, Chief Marketing Officer, Tait Communications.
“The DMR Association’s certificate gives our customers the assurance that Tait DMR Tier 3 platform is genuine”, adds James.
Tait is committed to open-standards technology and its DMR solution is no exception. Tait DMR is built on the proven MPT 1327 trunking architecture and designed to be fully compliant with the Digital Mobile Radio open standards defined by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute.
“We are delighted that the DMR Association has recognized Tait Communications as the world’s first provider of a genuine trunked DMR solution,” says James. “The Association’s recognition substantiates our long-held belief that no other company in our industry has our depth of commitment to open standards, or has our ability to deliver on that commitment.”
Jamie Bishop, Director of Marketing EMEA at Tait Communications comments the news: “standards are essential to secure future value for mission critical end customers, ensuring a competitive environment, future security and sustainability of the mission critical communications network. That is why, at Tait we have strived to achieve interoperability before we fully release our tier 3 DMR system. The Tait DMR system will unlock the Mission Critical value in the DMR standard and unlock superior value for our customers today and in the future.”
