OTN Systems Installs New Metro Project in Lima (Peru)

OTN Systems, the global market leader in fiber optic-based telecommunications backbone systems in metros, will install a fiber optic backbone for the Tren Urbano metro line in Lima, thereby gaining entry in the Peruvian market.

The Lima Metro, known to locals as the Tren Eléctrico, is an electric mass transit line in the Lima Metropolitan Area. The OTN Systems flagship product OTN-X3M, with a transport capacity of 10 Gbit/s and carrier grade Ethernet features, will be installed in this new metro project to support all the applications needed to operate the metro line.
