The Real Time Ireland App allows people to set alerts to inform them when their bus is 10 minutes, or 20 minutes or 30 minutes away from a certain bus stop, so they can plan when to leave home or work…

Realtime MultiModal Passenger App (RTPI) developed by opensky for Irelands National Transport Authority is overall winner at the eGovernment Awards

The App can inform people when they are approaching a particular bus stop (GPS dependent). The App shows combined transport updates from Dublin Bus, Bus Éireann, Luas, DART and Iarnród Éireann.

The Ireland eGovernment Awards in association with eir Business honour the pioneering work of public sector teams who are delivering better online services to Irish citizens today. They are the only awards of their kind in Ireland that reward leadership and innovation in eGovernment. The awards are open to public sector departments, local authorities and state agencies as well as private sector companies who partner with the public sector on eGovernment projects.
