Just ten months after the order, Scheidt & Bachmann successfully delivered and installed 70 FareGo Sales ST|40 ticket vending machines for Bayerische Oberlandbahn (BOB). Since their implementation in December 2013, the new ticket vending machines enable customers to quickly and easily buy a ticket on the Meridian line between Munich, Salzburg and Rosenheim.

The modern glass and metal casing was developed and designed in cooperation with BOB. “Nearly 4,000 customers use the new machines daily,” says Martin Hoerl, Head of Sales at Veolia transport. In addition to the classic customer service touch screen, the machines have a second screen for real time passenger information and advertisements. Thanks to the eco mode concept, the new ticket vending machines significantly reduce the CO2 footprint.

Veolia Transport GmbH, partner of Bayerische Oberlandbahn GmbH, is one of the leading private transport providers in the German rail and bus sectors. With over 5,200 employees, comprehensive mobility and services, Veolia Transport GmbH ensures that over 240 million passengers reach their destination comfortably every year.
